The Painting of Life through Light

Toledo, Spain

If I were to describe Toledo as a photographer, it would be “a wonderful, old city with a long history, flanked by a meandering river, with an excellent view from the nearby hill”. The first thing which strike me when I arrived at Toledo, was the layout of the city. It reminds me of the city of Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic, albeit Toledo was much larger, and having its own unique township aura since the bronze age, through the medieval times, up to now. If I can share, I would show you the Cesky Krumlov town for your viewing pleasure. A tour of Toledo should include the Alcántara bridge, the Alcázar of Toledo, Puerta del Sol, Puerta del Cambrón and of course the marketplaces, squares and quaint shops lining the streets. Some of these shop are run by artisans selling handmade wares, apparels, bags and souvenirs – which you may wish purchase one or two home for keepsakes. – HL
