The Painting of Life through Light

Seville, Spain

One thing I would strongly recommend, when you are in Seville, is to visit the Plaza de España. This out-of-this-world building was featured in George Lucas’ Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones movie, and would make a good stop point for anyone in this town. Words cannot explain the awe I felt when standing in the middle of the plaza, looking at the expanse of the place. Also interesting was the Metropol Parasol, a building I have affectionately coined as the “Waffle Building”, for lack of a better word to describe its architecture. At night, you can see the city from the top of the Parasol, which provides a view of even the cathedral and the Alcázar.  I was blessed to have the food festival open during the time I was there to feast upon the different food that the city has to offer. And oh yes, don’t forget to watch the Flamenco dance. We had our exhilarating dose of it in the evening at “Casa de la Memoria de Al-Andalus” – HL
